Matt is one of our technicians at our Columbus, IN location.

He’s been with Truck Service for over three years. He has been an automotive technician for 23 years. Matt is a talented technician. He is our guru on motor homes, engines, and DEF Systems!

Matt is a proud father of four and he enjoys spending time with his family, working with his horses, horse barrel racing, and the outdoors on his ten-acre farm.

Heavy-Duty Vehicle Technician

Position is Day Shift, Monday – Friday.

Position Details

Our Heavy-Duty Vehicle Technicians primary responsibilities include inspection, diagnosing and repair heavy-duty vehicle suspension, brakes, steering systems. Additional responsibilities may include DOT inspections, alignments, and preventive maintenance (oil and filter change). The typical types of vehicles are Class 3-8 trucks (semi’s, fire trucks, dump trucks, box trucks, etc), buses, recreational vehicles, trailers and pick-up trucks. Safe working conditions, no nights or weekends, competitive hourly pay plus incentives (no flat-rate pay), drug-free workplace.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a heavy-duty truck technician, mechanic, or other related fields
CDL license or willing and able to obtain (Paid for by us!)
ASE certifications or willing to obtain
Knowledge of diagnostic and repair equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Driver’s License (Required)
United States work authorization (Required)
GED, High School Degree, or College Degree (NOT REQUIRED)
